1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Active Recalling, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Active Recalling is a learning platform that provides tools for active recall and spaced repetition, including flashcards, quizzes, and mindmaps. The service is available as a free tier with limited features and a paid Pro subscription with unlimited access.

3. User Accounts

You must sign in with a Google account to use Active Recalling. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly through Dodo Payments, our Merchant of Record. Dodo Payments processes all payment transactions, manages billing, and handles payment-related customer support on our behalf.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the Dodo Payments customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will continue to have Pro access until then.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create on Active Recalling, including folders, chapters, flashcards, quizzes, and mindmaps. You grant us a limited license to store and display your content as necessary to provide the service.

6. Intellectual Property

The Active Recalling platform, including its design, code, features, and branding, is the intellectual property of Active Recalling. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the service without prior written consent.

7. Prohibited Use

You may not use Active Recalling for any unlawful purpose, to distribute malware, to infringe on intellectual property rights, or to interfere with the operation of the service.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service. You may also delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days, except as required by law.

9. Limitation of Liability

Active Recalling is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Active Recalling operates. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
